Hutch Corbett serves as Managing Director bringing 15 years of operating and finance experience, including 10 years as a life sciences focused investment banker.
Prior to joining TriplePoint Capital, Mr. Corbett served as Chief Financial Officer of Nexus Dx, a start-up company backed by Kleiner Perkins and Bay City Capital consolidating technologies focused on point of care diagnostic testing.
Prior to joining Nexus Dx, Mr. Corbett served as a Managing Director in Oppenheimer’s healthcare investment banking group in Menlo Park, where he worked with a broad array of biotechnology, specialty pharmaceutical, and medical device companies. Prior to joining Oppenheimer, Mr. Corbett worked in the healthcare investment banking groups of CIBC World Markets (acquired by Oppenheimer in 2008), Thomas Weisel Partners, and Morgan Stanley. Prior to pursuing his M.B.A., Mr. Corbett spent four years in the syndicated loan market, originating and managing a $500 million portfolio for an international commercial bank.
Mr. Corbett holds an M.B.A. from the University of Virginia Darden Graduate School of Business and holds a B.S. in Business Administration with a Finance emphasis from the University of Colorado (Boulder).
